Erik Haas

Diplom Engineer, Principal Anchorage/Tucson

Erik has more than 30 years of industry and government experience. He previously managed the air quality section for Alyeska Pipeline Service Company and was a founding member of the Alyeska, BP and ARCO Air Quality Peer Group. He was a member onthe American Petroleum Institute (API) sub-committee on Air Quality Regulations. He managed the industrial/domestic wastewater program and coordinated the air quality permits and compliance program for the State of Alaska. He worked as an air quality district engineer for the State of Wyoming and as a process engineer for Michelin Tire Co. in France and Germany. Erik holds a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Stuttgart, Germany with majors in power plant design and environmental engineering and completed his master thesis at Oregon State University. He was an adjunct instructor for graduate air quality classes at the University of Alaska.

Tom Chapple

Tom Chapple served in various engineering, technical and management roles during his 25+ years at Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation culminating in nine years as the Director of the Air Quality Division. He led ADEC's Pipeline Corridor Regional Office for the North Slope, TAPS and Valdez oil operations and then managed the statewide oil spill prevention and response program. After leaving ADEC in 2008, Tom worked for Chevron's Cook Inlet operations as the lead for implementing their internal environmental management system. Mr. ChappTom joined HMH Consulting in 2012 to bring technical and management expertise gained from decades in government and the industrial sector to assist HMH clients to acquire permits, meet environmental requirements and develop action plans to resolve any compliance deficiencies. Mr. Chapple holds a M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Southern California and a B.A. degree in Chemistry from Southern Illinois University.

Donna MS Celia

Donna joined HMH in 2009. She serves as the project manager for HMH’s Permitting/Compliance sections. Donna is experienced in all aspects of Air Quality permitting and compliance for facilities such as power plants, seafood processors, military installations and oil and gas transportation operations. Donna has a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology/Geography from the University of Oregon (2005) and was awarded the International Society of Collegiate Scholars award.

Joy A. Jaeger

Joy joined HMH in 2017, She's worked extensively with complex federal requirements for boilers and engines with pollution control technologies and continuous emission monitoring systems. Joy believes that good relationships, consistent communication, and tidy recordkeeping are the keys to effective compliance programs, and enjoys working with plant managers, staff, other contractors, and environmental professionals to improve compliance programs over time. She has prepared numerous air quality permit applications, including Title I construction permits to authorize new equipment or adjust existing operating limits or permit terms, and is skilled in AERMOD atmospheric dispersion modeling software. She has also prepared several Title V operating permit applications establishing facilities' monitoring, recordkeeping and reporting requirements. Recently, she has done permitting work for seafood processors' wastewater discharge. Joy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Alaska, Anchorage and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Texas Tech University (Summa Cum Laude).

Lisa JM Roberts

Lisa has been managing HMH’s compliance reporting for a number of utility clients and US-Airforce installations. She is HMH’s resident expert with the federal APIMS reporting system. She has nearly 10 years of experience as a special projects field supervisor and production chemist in the oil and gas industry. Lisa has Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and Biology from University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM. She also has an AK Environmental Technician Certificate, Alaska Forum, Anchorage, AK, 2016.

Andreah Mathews

Andreah supports HMH’s permitting/compliance section with the preparation of major and minor Title I and V permit applications and renewals, as well as annual compliance certifications, semi-annual facility reporting and compliance schedules/calendars and other monitoring, recordkeeping and reporting activities. Andreah previously worked as a Process Engineer from 04/2020 to 06/2023 and for Dow Chemicals as a Maintenance Engineer from 01/2009 to 05/2013. . Andreah has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University and a Master of Business Administration from University of Houston Clear-lake.
